About USU
![]() Old Main, with its A-tower, signifies the spirit of Utah State University. Built in three phases beginning in 1889, Old Main was remodeled and brought back to its original glory after a 1983 fire gutted portions of the interior. Utah State University is a four-year, state university founded in 1888 on a 400-acre site overlooking Logan in Cache Valley, northern Utah. More than 20,000 students are enrolled on campus or at education centers throughout the state. About 76 percent of students are working on undergraduate degrees. Typically, some 80 countries and every state in the nation are represented in the student body. A residential campus, 80 percent of USU's students are living away from home. More about the local area--its abundant sightseeing and recreational opportunities--and maps directing you to the university are available. Law enforcement, security and emergency services are provided by the USU Police Department.
"Summer Citizens return to Logan again and again: our 12th summer there out of the Arizona heat.
The cooler climate, the music, the courses, the intellectual stimulation, the friendly people, scenic beauty, low cost housing and golf, so much to do, the very best! Come join us."
