Course Description: Do you enjoy looking at and wearing beaded jewelry? Have you ever thought,"I bet I could make that!" or "That jewelry set would be perfect if only it was the right color..." If this describes you then this is the ideal summer class! In Beginning Beading you will not only learn about the history and uses of different beads, tools and patterns; you will also have the "hands on" opportunity to build your own beautiful necklace, bracelet and earring sets. One of the greatest aspects of this class is that it allows you to be fully immersed in the art of jewelry making without the commitment of buying any of the patterns or tools. We will also be offered a deeply discounted price on the materials needed for the class, and we bring several expert beaders to class to assist with instruction so the student to instructor ratio is low. Beginning Beading is a fantastic chance to learn about jewelry making and make your own original and beautiful creations.

Course Instructor: Jenika Jessen Perry is just plain crazy about beads. She graduated in 2000 from USU with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and Photography. After graduation she was the owner of Beadles Originals Beads for 14 years and now manages the bead department at Knit Unique. Her training comes from instructors around the world at the Bead and Button Convention in Milwaukee as well as good old trial and error. In order to give her students the best class experience possible, she brings 2 of her most experienced employees and "partners in crime" to help mentor and teach the class.
