Course Description: Are you ready to take the next step in your beading and jewelry making adventure? Are you interested in learning new stitches and design techniques to expand your beading knowledge? At the request of our former students we have designed a class for intermediate and advanced beaders. We will jump right into designing and making your own beaded rope necklace or lariat. We will then be exploring the various ways to use the Herringbone and Right Angle Weave in jewelry making, and finally we will work with various gauges of wire to make pendants and intricate earrings. Prerequisites? Students should have a working knowledge of beads, stringing and basic stitching techniques. We also recommend that students bring their own tools (pliers, needles, and travel kit) to the class. The class size will be small and intimate and we make sure that there are always several experienced beaders in class to help with instruction. We are excited to offer this class for the first time and hope you will join us for a great time!

Course Instructor: Jenika Jessen Perry is just plain crazy about beads. She graduated in 2000 from USU with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and Photography. After graduation she was the owner of Beadles Originals Beads for 14 years and now manages the bead department at Knit Unique. Her training comes from instructors around the world at the Bead and Button Convention in Milwaukee as well as good old trial and error. In order to give her students the best class experience possible, she brings 2 of her most experienced employees and "partners in crime" to help mentor and teach the class.
