Course Description: Explore the colorful characters who have helped shape the Bear River Region's culture then and now. The fabric of Cache Valley and the surrounding area was influenced by a diverse group: from Shoshone Indians to Bear Lake trader Peg Leg Smith; from Dr. Pierce, the millionaire quack to a multitude of musicians; and from settlers who were saints and some who were sinners. They all played a part. This class highlights some classic contributions of historical figures and residents who are making history today.

Course Instructor: Julie Hollist Terrill is a sixth-generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has taught gospel doctrine classes in her congregation for many years and is well-acquainted with the history and culture of the LDS Church.
