COVID-19 Informtion

Dear Summer Citizen Registrants,

As you are aware, the COVID-19 Pandemic continues to disrupt many aspects of life that we have come to expect and enjoy. To ensure the health and safety of our campus community and its visitors, Utah State University continues to closely monitor and comply with recommendations from public federal and state of Utah agencies. Current projections, plans, and restrictions from both the state of Utah and the federal government make it necessary to adjust important aspects of the 2020 Summer Citizen Program, specifically those activities that involve gathering together in groups. A copy of the state of Utah’s current plan – Utah Leads Together – and the Governor’s Directive – Stay Safe, Stay Home – is linked below for your reference.

In an effort to ensure your health and safety, we are cancelling the in-person classes, socials, open houses, and tours previously planned for the 2020 Program. On a positive note, we are currently exploring options for moving some of the 2020 Program classes and events into a remote learning forum. Please expect to receive an update by no later than May 1, 2020, regarding online offerings. We recognize that these adjustments change the nature of what you as a registrant had expected for the 2020 Program. As such, we are refunding the 2020 Program registration fees. We hope to have those refunds processed within the next 10 business days. Please reach out to your housing provider directly with any questions regarding your housing arrangements for this upcoming summer. Utah State University recognizes and values the important role that the summer citizen community plays on our campus and in Cache Valley. We sincerely thank you for your patience over the last several weeks and for your support.

Please stay safe and healthy. Thank you again for supporting the Summer Citizen Program and we hope to see you in person next year

Sincerely,

Linda D’Addabbo
