148 - Traveling Across America with Classic Literature

Course Description: Be prepared to take a trip each day--without packing a suitcase--as different pieces of literature will focus a different region of the United States: the East, South, Midwest, Southwest and the West. Class discussions will cover how location, landscape and society influenced the writer and the their work. Book list will be published prior to class start date.

Course Instructor: Terri Wesemann is a Utah State University graduate student studying aviation folklore. She instructs a technical communication class and is collaborating with the Hill Aerospace Museum on a World War II nose art exhibit. Her undergraduate degree is in American Studies focusing on History and literature with a minor in English. She interned in the History of Aviation in America class where she helped develop a new curriculum and co-taught the Summer Citizen's class on the History of Aviation in America. Terri is married to a pilot and has spent half her life around aviation.
