What we’ll cover in the class is how to get your email, contacts, calendar, and documents on your device. How to star frequently used contacts and quickly find these and view your call log and save these numbers to your contacts. You’ll learn about apps and widgets and how to customize your home screen including changing your wallpaper. We’ll review the settings screen and learn to set ringtones, volume, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS including checking your data usage. We’ll also discuss battery monitoring and management, security apps, locking your phone and other popular apps. You must bring your own Android phone or tablet to this class.

Course Instructor: Cathy Oberkampf has taught for 25+ years. She was a trainer/training manager at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX for 5 years, taught at Habitat for Humanity International for 5 years, and has taught at Utah State University in their Summer Citizens Program for 5 years. She also teaches at her church and at other nonprofit organizations in her hometown of New Braunfels, TX where she now resides.
