Course Description: Social media makes it easier to connect with loved ones, as we can share stories, photos, and videos. If you’re a beginner to social media, this course is for you. We’ll focus on Facebook, and apply that knowledge to other platforms. This will be a non-threatening environment to gain experience with Facebook. We will cover hash tags and why they’re useful. This course will have lots of fun examples, discussion, and individualized guidance. Bring your electronics; we’ll use them in class. Come, having set up a Facebook account and practiced exploring Facebook, and we’ll answer your questions!

Course Instructor: Preston Parker earned a degree in Business Management at USU (Bachelor), Mass Communication at Indiana University (Master), and Instructional Technology at USU (Doctorate). He’s taught courses in social media and professional communication. He’s founded two non-profit organizations and several companies specializing in multimedia production and instructional design. He enjoys using social media in the “real world” and bringing his experiences to the classroom. But really, he just wants to be known as a good husband to his wife of 18 years, and a good father to his six children.
